It all starts with a domain name

www. .

What is a Domain Name?

Essentially, a domain name is the address of the website which you type in the browser in order to reach its content. Domain names look like this: www.mydomainname.com

What is TLD & SLD?

TLD stands for Top-Level Domain and represents the end of your domain. For example, in the domain name ATSPACE.COM, the .com is the TLD.
SLD stands for Second-Level Domain and represents the beginning of your domain. In the example above atspace is the SLD.

What is ccTLD & ccSLD?

ccTLD is short for Country-Code Top-Level Domain which means that it represents a TLD, specific for a certain country. Examples are .us and .eu domains.
ccSLD stands for Country-Code Second-Level Domain like .co.uk, .org.uk, etc.

Why do you need a domain?

In order to develop a website, you need to register a unique domain name. It provides exposure, security, and credibility for your business. And, in case you’re still not ready to build out an entire website, you can still “reserve” it by acquiring a suitable domain name.

Privacy Protection

What is Privacy Protection?

The Domain Privacy Protection is a service that legally replaces your private information, called WHOIS details, by covering the publicly visible Administrative, Technical and Billing contacts of your domain’s record.

What are the benefits?

When registering a domain name, you automatically get WHOIS listing of your full name, physical address, email address and telephone number under the domain’s name. The Privacy Protection secures your details and stops spammers, hackers, and telemarketers of using your data for illegal activities.

How can you get one?

To get one, you need to have a domain registered with us or transferred to us. Only after that, you can order and add Domain Privacy Protection for your domain from the Control Panel.

To make easy redirections you will need to log in to your Control Panel, choose Hosting Tools, then Website Manager and Domain Manager menu. Click Settings for your domain/subdomain, then select the Pointers tab and choose what type of redirect you want to make:

Hosting Path – this redirection allows you to change the path to your website files to a different folder within your hosting account. With this redirection, you can host the same static content on multiple websites.

Frame Redirect – this redirection allows your site to display the content of a remote website with the help of a frame.

Header Redirect – this redirection forwards the visitor from your website to the website you specified.
How can I set/change the NS records of my domains?
The name server (NS) records can be changed only through the domain registrar (the company where you purchased your domain from).

To change the NS records for a domain registered with us or transferred to us, you should use the Control Panel, Website Manager tab, Domain Manager section. Find your domain in the All Domains or Registered Domains tabs and select Settings for your domain. This will open a list of tabs, select the Name Servers tab and choose Use default Name Servers or Use different Name Servers.

The first option (Use default Name Servers) will configure your domain to resolve from our servers and work correctly with your account.

The second option (Use different Name Servers) allows you to enter the Name Servers of a third-party hosting provider/server, so your domain can resolve from that third party.

Please note that NS changes might take up to 72 hours.
